Hello everyone,
I have a question about the different methods used to evaluate pet food quality. I often see ABCDE-style “petfood-scores”, but many people seem to agree that these ratings are not very reliable, or at least too simplified for such a complex subject.
If we accept that an ABCDE petfood-score alone is not enough, what are the best ways to assess a food more seriously? For example, should we focus more on the ingredient list, nutritional analysis, independent lab tests, veterinary nutrition advice, or long-term health results observed in the animal?
I would be very interested to hear which evaluation methods you personally trust the most, and how you combine them in practice when choosing food for your pets.
