    Hello everyone,

I often read very alarming statements saying that the carbohydrates in kibble are “toxic” for dogs and cats, especially because they are carnivores and have no strict physiological requirement for carbs. At the same time, other sources explain that carbohydrates (especially well-cooked starches and certain fibers) can be digested and used as an energy source, and are not harmful as long as the quantity and quality are appropriate.

So I would like to know what you think: are the carbohydrates in kibble really toxic in themselves, or is the problem more about excess quantity, poor-quality sources, or badly formulated recipes? How do you personally take carbohydrate content into account when choosing food for your pets?
